Nursery : Bright Horizons Barnes Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary : Starting from £29,845.20 per annum (dependent on qualification / s and experience)

Location : Barnes, London, SW13

We are looking for a full time, Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our Bright Horizons Barnes Nursery, situated in Barnes within close proximity of Roehampton, Chiswick and Hammersmith, with great transport links.

The nursery is based in a stunning refurbished period property. We have three individually tailored base rooms - an under twos room with sleep room attached, a Toddler room for our under 2's and a Preschool base room with free flow access to the garden and an Art Studio. The children also benefit from having a dedicated library area as well as a children's cookery studio. Our nursery also features a fantastic large garden, complete with a dedicated baby garden, all weather areas, sensory stations AND a hobbit house!

What you’ll be doing

Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education

Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas

Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones

Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and / or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child

Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding

Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment

What we’re looking for

Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)

Previous experience working within an Early Years setting - ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar

Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage

Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children

Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents

Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
