Job description

Have you recently completed a degree and are considering a school-based career? Are you available to work in the Haydock area of St Helens? If so Tradewind Recruitment have a role starting in September 2024 for the full academic year.

Role of a Cover Supervisor

The successful candidate will : -

be responsible for supervising classes of students in the absence of the regular teacher.
ensure that all work set is completed to a high standard
maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
have the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Requirements :

Experience working in a school or education setting.

The ability to manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.

The ability to follow lesson plans and ensure that all work set is completed to a high standard.

Have the legal right to work in the UK.

Full and complete 10-year career history.

Minimum of 2 references including your most recent employment reference.

Hold a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new one.

For candidates with limited experience but a genuine interest in working with children we are pleased to offer : An Introduction to working as a Cover Supervisor as part of our CPD offering. This on-site course will provide you with an insight into the role and develop your confidence so that you can excel in this position and will allow you to converse with other education professionals about to embark on the same journey.
