Job Description
ROLE Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION Stafford
TERM Permanent
SALARYper annum dependent on experience
My client is a manufacturer of specialist products for a variety of sectors and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the Stafford area.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes :
- Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Sheet Metal / Metalwork is necessary for this role
- Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as Creo Inventor SolidWorks etc.
- Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances
- Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multidisciplinary team
- Have the ability to carry out mechanical calculations
- Any previous experience of working with process machinery or steel / metal materials would be desirable
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficient using MS Office
- Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
