As an Independent Reviewing Officer for the Children and Families Service you will be
- Acting for the children they review as a conscientious and responsible corporate parent would act
- Monitoring the performance of Son an ongoing basis in relation to their response to children in care and ensure any issues are escalated appropriately
- Quality assuring every plan following each review meeting and consider that all appropriate options have been considered to meet the child’s identified needs
- IROs must focus on children’s needs being met but cannot be unaware of resource / cost implications
- Responsible for convening, chairing and producing the decisions and minutes of the review meeting within prescribed timescales and that quality standards are met.
