Role Title : Fully Qualified HGV Technician

Reporting To : Workshop Manager

Role Description

HCL Fleet Services are looking to recruit experienced HGV Technicians to join our existing team based at our depot in Croydon.

The candidate will be tasked with a varied fleet of HGVs and plant equipment with an assortment and variety of plant; training would be provided to those candidates interested in widening their skillset.

The candidate will be responsible for keeping them maintained and in good working order, and ready for operation.

The candidate may also be required to attend sites to assist with the repair of broken-down vehicles.

The candidate would be expected to undertake written reports and maintain accurate records in conjunction with bespoke in-house designed software. Full training is provided for this application.

The successful candidate should have a City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualification in HGV maintenance as a minimum.

If a candidate has no written qualifications but can demonstrate their expertise and knowledge, HCL Fleet Services would be open to discussing with a prospective technician.

Ideally, you will also possess a full clean driving licence as well.

Normal shift patterns are 0700 – 1700 from Monday to Friday. As Hydro Cleansing is a 24-hour service provider, there will be an opportunity for out-of-hours work at an enhanced overtime rate.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year in a similar role
• Experience in repairing HGVs and own tools.
• Qualifications with all of the necessary documentation would be an advantage but not a necessity if a proven track record can be given.
