The Role : We are seeking an experienced Lead SENCO to join our dedicated team. This permanent position is crucial for the continued success of our SEND provision and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities :
- Leading and managing the SEND provision across the school, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Coordinating and monitoring the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies for students with special educational needs.
- Working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure the needs of all SEND students are met.
- Providing training, guidance, and support to staff on SEND-related issues and inclusive teaching practices.
- Overseeing the identification and assessment of students with SEND, ensuring appropriate interventions and support are in place.
- Leading the annual review process for students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of SEND students and provision.
- Ensuring effective use of SEND funding and resources to maximize impact.
- Promoting a culture of inclusion and high expectations for all students.
