Main duties of the job
We have an opportunity to join our Pathology Phlebotomy team for a 12th month fixed term contract as a will be working over a wide variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient environments and as such will need to be an effective communicator.
We are looking for a flexible Phlebotomist that help cover our 24hr service, I would recommend contacting the interview panel for information on typical shift patterns.
No experience is necessary as full training will be provided to the successful will learn to take both blood and cannulate patients after a period of training.
The team work closely with our laboratories and various clinical teams to help expedite clinical diagnostic testing for a wide range of ward, outpatient and primary care patients.

WHAT YOULL DOA phlebotomists role is to provide a high quality phlebotomy and cannulation service that offers the best possible standards of patient care to inpatients and any other area requiring venesection / cannulation services. You will assist in the provision of individualised care, under the supervision of a qualified nurse and others in the health care professional team.
