Title : Seeking a Talented Business Line Manager for an Engineering & Manufacturing Company in Luton

Introduction :

Our client, a Global Engineering & Manufacturing company based in Luton, is seeking to hire a skilled Business Line Manager. This Business Line Manager role requires someone with extensive experience in P&L management, product development and line management.

Responsibilities of Business Line Manager :

P&L Management

  • Develop annual budgets for the business unit
  • Monitor financial performance of the business unit against budgeted figures
  • Identify areas where costs can be minimized or revenues increased

Product Management

  • Manage product life cycle from ideation through launch until end-of-life phase.
  • Define pricing strategies that maximise profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction levels

    • Engineered Product

  • Line manage technical teams responsible for developing engineered products

    • Line Management

  • Manage cross functional team including sales engineers

    • Engineering & Manufacturing

  • Provide insight into best practices regarding quality control measures related to production processes

    • Margin Analysis

  • Analyze margins across all major channels (direct vs indirect)to ensure optimum profit margin

    • Route To Market

  • Leveraging key partnerships within industry sectors we are targeting

    • Qualifications / Skills Required for Business Line Manager Role :

    The successful candidate must have managerial level experience working as part of senior leadership team preferably gained within global companies involved with Engineered Products / Manufacturing sector. The following qualifications / skills will also be necessary :

  • Bachelor's degree / Master's Degree qualification preferred but not required depending on demonstrated work history.
  • Experience managing direct reports; leading large scale change programmes ideally involving process automation / integration projects would be advantageous .
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral together with excellent presentation abilities needed.
