Permanent Experienced Veterinary Surgeon, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Type : 85% small, 10% equine, 5% farm mix - OR Small Animal Only

Location : Newcastle Upon Tyne

Practice : Well-established independent practice

Facilities : They offer a supportive, encouraging work environment and pride themselves on top quality, modern medicine, and surgery in the heart of North East England. Close to excellent transport links, city centres, countrysides, and the coast.

Role : They are seeking an experienced Mixed or Small animal vet surgeon to join their lovely team.

Hours :

  • Full-time, 5 or 4 days per week
  • One night on call per week (with support by another vet)
  • Part-time hours are negotiable but ideally at least 2 full days per week plus the below weekend rota cover
  • 1 full weekend on call in every 6 (for every full weekend worked, no night on call the following week and a Friday or Monday off to make a long weekend)
  • 1 Saturday morning in 3 (one of these will be part of the full weekend on call every 6)
  • Bank holiday cover equally shared

Applicant Requirements :

  • They are looking for a mixed animal Veterinary Surgeon, which will include 85% small animal, 10% equine, and 5% farm mix.
  • A full driver's licence is required for this role

    • Remuneration Package :

  • Experienced vet salary will be commensurate with experience and whether car, fuel card, and accommodation are required
  • 6-month review resulting in salary increase on successful completion of a 6-month probationary period
  • Year 1 review, salary increase, and bonus-related earnings
