The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 driver for our Sheffield based client on a temporary to permanent basis!

Our client is one for the largest FMCG providers in the UK and operate a 1st class fleet of modern vehicles. They pride themselves on their culture and employee engagement initiatives and really value every colleague, offering a great place to work.

The temporary period would only last for 16 weeks, then following this period, the driver would be become a permanent member of staff with the company.

Prior to the commencement of the role all drivers are expected to successfully complete an assessment, covering a variety of topics such as Highway Codes, Driver Hours, HGV Safety and Bridge Strikes.

The role :

Ongoing assignment, with the prospect of a permanent role, subject to a successful temp to perm period.

Completion of deliveries from Sheffield to various customers, such as RDC’s and Cash and Carries.

Start times would vary between 06 : 00 and 08 : 00.

Flexibility of hours is essential as the driver may have to night out on occasional weeks, however not necessarily every week.

Candidate must at least 1 years’ experience driving a Class 1 vehicle.

Deliveries from Sheffield to various customers, including RDC’s and Cash and Carries.

Modern curtain sided vehicles, usually between 1-3 drops.
