Operations Manager – Aerodynamics | Aerospace / Automotive / F1

Location : Bedfordshire | Full-time | On-site

Security Requirement : British Nationals only (no dual nationality)

Are you a driven and detail-focused Operations Manager with a strong grounding in aerodynamics and a background in Aerospace, Automotive, or F1? My client, a respected name in high-performance engineering, is looking for a capable and proactive leader to take ownership of a key operational team supporting cutting-edge aerodynamic testing and development projects.

Due to the sensitive nature of the work, candidates must be British nationals and cannot hold dual nationality .

This role plays a vital part in the smooth delivery of aerodynamic operations, managing resource planning, process improvement, team performance, and safety compliance. You’ll work closely with senior engineering and technical teams, contributing to the development and execution of advanced testing programmes.

What you’ll be doing :

Lead and manage day-to-day operations, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency across testing activities
Oversee team workload and resource planning to meet demanding project timelines
Drive continuous improvement in processes, capability, and operational output
Work cross-functionally to align operations with engineering requirements and business priorities
Own and develop procedures for the safe use and maintenance of equipment, including mechanical rigs and electrical test systems
Support recruitment, development, and mentoring of technical staff
Promote a culture of accountability, proactive problem-solving, and innovation
Play a key role in planning future investment in operational infrastructure and capability

What we’re looking for :

Proven experience in a similar operations or technical management role within an engineering environment

Background in Aerospace, Automotive, or F1 engineering would be preferred

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams in a high-pressure, high-standards environment

Working knowledge of safety management systems, RAMS, and test facility operations

Strong organisational and communication skills with a calm, solutions-led approach

Essential Requirement :

You must be a sole British national – due to project clearance and security protocols, dual nationality cannot be accepted
