The role :

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and highly motivated individual to teach within our excellent Criminology team at Gower College Swansea. This role is a permanent, full time post and includes delivery of the WJEC Level 3 Criminology Curriculum and our Foundation Degree in Criminal Justice. Criminology is a popular course at Gower College Swansea so this is your opportunity to join a thriving department with a strong and supportive approach to teaching and learning.

  • Full-time, 37 hours per week
  • 22, - £45, per annum (depending on qualifications and / or experience)
  • Based at the Gorseinon and Tycoch Campus

Key Responsibilities :

  • To provide excellence in teaching, learning and assessment.
  • To plan, prepare and teach Level 3 Criminology / Foundation Degree in Criminal Justice ensuring schemes of work and assessments are appropriate to the exam board specification.
  • To ensure teaching and learning strategies and teaching materials are planned to meet the varied needs of learners.
  • To assess and monitor learner progress, including the setting of targets, maintaining records of work and achievement.
  • To keep up to date with curriculum developments, subject knowledge and innovations in teaching and learning.
  • About you :

  • You have a passion for teaching and learning.
  • You have a degree in Criminology or relevant qualification.
  • You have a teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards one.
