Senior Mortgage Specialist

Our Client is a globally recognised, successful bank providing world-class services to various institutions and individuals. Offering a comprehensive range of retail and corporate financial services / products, this thriving business boasts over 10 million active customers across more than 700 locations. We are seeking an experienced Senior Mortgage Specialist to join our team.

Please note this is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and grow new mortgage business relationships for UK residents, focusing on Buy to Let Mortgages and UK Commercial business, aligned with the UK Mortgage Strategy for Private Banking.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for effective customer engagement and establish a UK Mortgage footprint within the Bank’s Enterprise Wide Risk Framework.
  • Build a client base from personal networks, mortgage introducers, agents, and referrals.
  • Offer the Bank’s mortgage products to target markets, including HNWIs / HNIs, and develop new high-net-worth client relationships through cross-selling.
  • Manage an existing mortgage portfolio while expanding new mortgage relationships to grow the mortgage book and revenue.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Business to develop and implement a UK Residents Mortgage desk as part of the Bank’s new business strategy.
  • Work with the Business Head to facilitate integrated business development and provide comprehensive mortgage solutions for HNWIs.
  • Oversee policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to UK Residents BTL and other business strategies.
  • Assess client mortgage requests and prepare credit applications for approval.
  • Perform accurate affordability assessments for mortgage and lending services.

  • CeMap Qualification
  • Experience in mortgage advice
  • Proven track record in mortgage services
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong presentation skills and experience in reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, especially with senior leadership
