Job description

Duration : 12 months, with a high chance of extension

Role Highlights :

  • Work on new engine products, including validation and launch.
  • Conduct various engine tests, inspect components, and engage in end-to-end testing.
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrades, including emissions equipment renewal.

Required Skills :

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with engine test systems like DSG, Cadet, PUMA, and experience in writing test schedules.
  • Exposure to ECU controller software packages.

    • Industry Experience :

  • 3+ years of experience with diesel or gas engine test programs.
  • Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems in genset applications.
  • Mechanical / electrical experience in diesel engines, including stripping, rebuilding, and a strong automotive / off-highway mechanical background.
  • Preferred alternative experience : Aerospace background.

    • Top 3 Hard Skills :

  • Mechanical / electrical expertise with engines, including stripping and rebuilding.
  • Experience with instrumentation like thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters, and emission analyzers.

    • Certifications :

  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in automotive mechanics or higher (IMechE accreditation / HNC / HND / B.Eng.).
