Nursery : Bright Horizons Purley Day Nursery and Preschool
Salary : £29,031 - £40,392 (dependant on qualification / s and experience)
Location : Surrey – Various Sites
We are looking for a full time Early Years Chef, to join our Bright Horizons nurseries in Surrey. The role will require you to work and cross cover at various nurseries in and around Surrey and therefore a full UK driving licence and own vehicle is a requirement.

What you’ll be doing
Prepare, cook, and present age-appropriate food for all the children with minimum wastageTake responsibility to ensure all dietary requirements are catered for and clearly communicated to the teamsKeep the kitchen a clean and safe environment, adhering to internal and external requirementsHave an active role in leading the cookery club sessions with the childrenSupport with other nursery activities e.g., BBQs, Fetes, and staff meetingsEnsure stock levels are suitably managed and recorded, in line with company procedureWork in partnership with the nursery team and parents, to encourage a healthy and nutritious dietPromote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguardingWork with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environmentWhat we’re looking for
Previous experience within a role which involves cooking in a domestic or commercial propertyPassion for nutrition, and inspiring others in healthy eatingFood Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) – this must be passed on day 1 in postSound knowledge of COSHHAbility to demonstrate a sound knowledge of managing different dietary requirements, particularly food allergiesGreat communication skills, with both colleagues, children, and parentsAbility to work under pressureWe look forward to receiving your application!
