Production Planner

£30,000k

Birmingham

Mon- Fri 8 : 30am -5pm

Are you a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in Manufacturing production planning? My client is seeking a talented and proactive Production Planner to join the team and contribute to the efficient organisation of the manufacturing processes.

Main Responsibilities :

Plan and organise production schedules to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes.

Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant data for effective production planning.

Monitor and optimise inventory to enhance stock usage efficiency.

Utilise the AMS ERP system to maintain accurate production planning records.

Communicate production schedules to relevant departments and adjust plans as needed.

Evaluate and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve production-related issues.

Review and develop production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Monitor and assess monthly production outputs.

Control and monitor production-related costs to maximize profits.

May require travel to other AMS Facilities (Belfast & Bristol).

Health, Safety, and Environment :

Adhere to the Company's health and safety policies and procedures at all times.

Immediately report any accidents or near misses to your manager and record them in the accident book.

Maintain a tidy workplace, reporting hazards to your line manager.

Wear appropriate protective clothing while on site.

Attend all health and safety training as required by the Company.

Requirements

Strong academic record with excellent GCSE / A-levels or equivalent.

Proven experience as a production planner or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement skills.

Very good understanding of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.

Excellent analytical and organisational skills.

Strong mathematical and IT skills.

Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.

Good understanding of business operations.

Ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment.
