This lovely setting is in Kelvedon are seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join their team. You should have a level 3 in childcare and have previously worked in a similar position. You would be working full time 40 hours per week, however there is also the option to work part time 2 / 3 days per week 8am - 6pm. The nursery is situated in an area with excellent train links into Colchester and London.

This lovelu nursery is located in a large building which has that home to home feeling. Each room is welcoming and homely, with a beautiful open rustic outside area The toddler rooms have free flow access to the outside space which also has a nature area for the children. The nursery is open from 8am - 6pm all year round and closes between Christmas and New Year.

You will be joining a nursery with ambitious plans, where the staff team are stable, happy and enthusiastic about creating amazing experiences for the children within their care. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated, enthusiastic person, who can work closely within a growing team. You should possess great communication skills and have a calm, approachable nature.

Duties include :

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met.
  • Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery and promote these daily in every routine.
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.
  • Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent.
  • Attend regular team meetings to ensure that you remain updated on key priorities, changes, developments and regularly review company policies and procedures.

Requirements :

  • Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification - essential
  • Over 1 years' experience of working in Early Years - desirable
  • Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements
