You will beresponsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, carriers, and suppliers to negotiateand confirm rates effectively. • Receive customer quotations via varying methods – email / online portal etc
• To cover Ocean – Imports / Exports / Cross Trade
• Negotiate rates with carriers / hauliers / suppliers and confirm availability of equipment and agreeprices where no tariff exists, to maximise cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare and submit customer quotations and proposals within agreed timeframe
• Work within our in-house system to create and issue quotations
• Communicate with customers to manage and follow up all quotes to obtain feedback to measure,analyse and circulate to the relevant teams, adjusting pricing where possible to ensure we secureopportunities.
• Track success / failure rate of quotes, reporting back to management
• Develop and build relationships and provide the highest level of customer service to all customers
• To produce strategic tariffs when required to ensure effective workload and to ensure these tariffs arekept up to date and relevant
