Job description

Are you seeking a purposeful and fulfilling nursing career that empowers you to positively impact the lives of others?

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to support a clinical trial. You will visit new mothers and their babies in their homes to provide support and education as well as perform clinical tasks like taking vitals and sample collection. There will be several patients in the Manchester area and we expect around 7-8 visits during 2 years. The visits / hours can be arranged to suit your current work schedule.

Responsibilities during home visits will include :

  • Monitor vital signs, ensuring the well-being of both the newborns and their mothers during the visit.
  • Skillfully collect blood and other samples
  • Precisely label and handle samples, ensuring their safe transport to designated laboratories.
  • Promptly report any adverse events observed during the visits, contributing to the trial’s safety monitoring.
  • Document your insights and observations post-assignment, enriching the trial’s data pool.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or educational equivalent in Nursing and two years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Experience working in pediatrics, maternity or similar
  • Strong IT competence, skilled in using MS Windows and Office applications such as Access, Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and client
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to pay close attention to detail.
