New Directions Education are recruiting Key stage 1 Teachers / NQT’s to work with primary schools in the RCT area to help cover supply for short term or long-term bookings.

This position offers flexible working hours to fit around your family / lifestyle and gives Teachers / NQT’s the opportunity to work with different primary schools across RCT

We also offer our candidates the opportunity to take part in our fantastic training courses / webinars which take place during Half term periods, all of which are fully accredited and are as follows :

Job Specification

If you are a newly qualified teacher (NQT) or experienced Teacher, we offer roles which include delivering the curriculum in Key Stage 1 (KS1) to Key Stage 2 (KS2)

• Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
• Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
• Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
• Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
• Maintain discipline
• Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
• Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
• Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
• Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
• Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
