Non Executive Director

The Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA) provides internal audit services and support for the UK government. Our work is focused on helping government deliver more efficient and productive public services through the insight and assurance we provide.

We’re seeking a non-executive director to join our advisory Board. This is a key governance role, providing independent oversight, external perspective and constructive scrutiny. You’ll support good decision-making, effective risk management and ensure that we continue to deliver on our purpose and strategic ambitions.

We’d love to hear from people who bring :

• A record of achievement and personal effectiveness at a senior level
• Experience in supporting organisations to transform, particularly where this involved digital or artificial intelligence tools
• An independent and thoughtful mindset with the ability to scrutinise and challenge
• A solid understanding of the functioning of the UK government, with experience as a recipient of GIAA’s work
• A real commitment to the potential of internal audit to help

We’re particularly keen to bring fresh perspectives to our Board. You might have a background in commercial or professional services, experience of working in government, or bring insight from another relevant field.
