Building on our proven track record in specialist asset finance, we are now expanding into the significant real estate financing market across the UK and Europe, seeking an experienced finance professional to lead this exciting new venture.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Finance professional to join our team as a consultant, focusing on both commercial and residential real estate lending (lending values upwards of EUR 2m or equivalent) across the UK and European markets. This is a unique opportunity to benefit from our strong market reputation, established lender network and experienced leadership with significant structured finance expertise across multiple asset classes.

This opportunity would particularly suit someone from a real estate lending or structured finance background within a financing institution, who can appreciate the level of rigour and analysis required by lenders and work collaboratively with them to manage transactions through the approval process. Strong origination experience and an established origination network are essential for success in this role.

This represents an exceptional next step for an ambitious professional looking to leverage their financial services experience, credit skills, and real estate sector market knowledge. You will have complete autonomy and ownership of the real estate segment, with the opportunity to build a market-leading credit advisory business supported by our established platform and expertise.

Working with prestigious clients including HNW individuals, family offices, and small to mid-cap corporates, you will have the autonomy to develop and execute your own business strategy while benefiting from our proven advisory platform and comprehensive credit expertise.

Note : This is not a salaried role, but earnings are uncapped via a fee revenue share model.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Management

  • Source, structure and arrange real estate financing solutions for commercial and residential properties
  • Conduct swift credit assessments and risk evaluations
  • Prepare detailed teasers and investment memorandums and present confidently to selected lenders
  • Support lenders through their internal approval processes and credit committees
  • Manage transactions from origination through to successful closing
  • Coordinate legal and security documentation with relevant parties
  • Understand client financing needs, strategy and commercial objectives
  • Provide market guidance on financing structures, terms and optimal solutions
  • Challenge clients constructively to ensure robust transaction positioning
  • Request and analyse required information for credit assessment
  • Deliver tailored financing solutions that meet unique client objectives

Market Development

  • Leverage existing origination network to generate new business opportunities
  • Bring and further develop Atlantic Capital’s lender network within the real estate sector
  • Actively develop and expand origination network to enhance deal flow
  • Optimise lender panel relationships to ensure competitive terms and execution certainty
  • Attend relevant industry sector events for networking and origination opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with real estate lenders and intermediaries
  • Stay current with credit market dynamics, lending appetite and competitive terms
  • Identify market trends and opportunities within the real estate finance sector
  • Credit Analysis & Structuring

  • Conduct thorough financial modelling and credit analysis
  • Assess commercial and credit risk across diverse real estate transactions
  • Structure financing solutions optimised for client needs and lender requirements
  • Prepare detailed term sheets based on market knowledge and placement confidence
  • Experience & Expertise

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in real estate lending (commercial and / or residential)
  • Proven track record in loan origination, structuring and transaction management
  • Experience in preparing credit recommendations and managing complex transactions
  • Strong understanding of real estate market dynamics across UK / Europe
  • Technical Skills

  • Advanced credit analysis and financial modelling capabilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of real estate financing structures and documentation
  • Ability to quickly assess commercial and credit risk
  • Strong negotiation and term sheet drafting skills
  • Network & Relationships

  • Established origination network within real estate sector (essential)
  • Existing relationships with real estate lenders that can be brought to the role
  • Strong professional network across UK and European markets
  • Proven ability to generate new business opportunities through origination activities
