Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Land Surveyor Supervisor to help lead our surveying team. The successful candidate will oversee various surveying projects, ensure the accuracy and quality of data collected, and mentor junior surveyors. This role requires a blend of fieldwork and office-based responsibilities, with a focus on delivering precise and reliable survey data to our diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate land surveying activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Conduct detailed topographical, building, and utility surveys using a range of techniques and equipment.
  • Analyse survey data to produce accurate maps, reports, and 3D models.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and provide expert advice on land and property boundaries, rights of way, and related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company quality assurance protocols.
  • Mentor and train junior surveyors, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Degree in surveying, geomatics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in land surveying, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or senior role.
  • Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software, including GPS, total stations, laser scanning and CAD programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
  • Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations related to surveying activities.
