New Directions is currently seeking compassionate teaching assistants to support pupils with additional learning needs (ALN) in the Rhondda Cynon Taff, Pontypridd. We collaborate with various schools, including specialist institutions, those with dedicated ALN units, and mainstream settings requiring 1 : 1 support for ALN students. Whether you’re seeking part-time, long-term, or day-to-day roles, we have opportunities to suit your preferences.
As an ALN teaching assistant, you’ll play an important role in helping students with diverse needs reach their full potential. Working across primary and secondary settings, you’ll collaborate with fellow staff members to deliver tailored support to ALN students, including those facing emotional and behavioural challenges. You’ll also assist in classroom preparation for lessons and ensure all learning materials are readily accessible. Creating a nurturing environment where students feel motivated and empowered to succeed is key.
