Junior / Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer📍 Location : East Yorkshire💰 Salary : £26,000 – £30,000 (DOE)🕐 Mon–Thurs 8 : 30–5 : 15, Fri 8 : 30–1 : 00 | Hybrid / WFH | 37.5 hours / weekLooking for a design role that’s more hands-on, varied, and technically rewarding?This is your chance to join a UK engineering business that designs, manufactures, and tests technology for the defence, marine research, offshore energy, sectors.The Role : Working as part of a growing Mechanical Design Team, you’ll support the full product lifecycle—designing custom housings, fixtures, mould tools, and test jigs using SolidWorks + PDM.Key responsibilities :

• 3D CAD modelling and 2D manufacturing drawings
• Designing mechanical components in steel, aluminium, bronze, and polymers
• Producing BOMs and work instructions
• Supporting prototype builds and getting involved in physical product testing
• Liaising with suppliers and the production teamThe Person :
• A Mechanical Engineering or Product Design graduate (or equivalent qualification)
• Some experience with CAD design (university, internship or placement)
• Confident with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
• A problem-solver who’s eager to learn in a fast-paced, hands-on settingSalary & Benefits :
• Salary from £26,000 – £30,000 depending on experience
