Are you a qualified Welding Engineer with experience in highly regulated sectors? Looking to join a respected, forward-thinking business with strong growth and development opportunities?

Lodestone Recruitment are working in partnership with a well-established engineering company based in Sheffield, who are looking to add a Welding Engineer to their experienced team.

This is a great opportunity to take ownership of welding processes and documentation within a business that operates across Defence, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, and Aerospace sectors.

What’s on offer :

  • Salary : Up to £80,000 (depending on experience)
  • Working hours : Regular days, Monday to Friday

The Role :

As a Welding Engineer, you’ll be responsible for :

  • Developing and maintaining welding procedures (WPS) and WPQRs in line with contract requirements
  • Overseeing weld and NDE documentation control
  • Managing welding consumables and equipment calibration in line with ISO standards
  • Investigating and reporting non-conformances, driving corrective actions
  • Supporting audits and validation checks to maintain industry accreditations

    • What we’re looking for :

  • Recognised qualification : IWE, EWE or IWT
  • Proven experience in highly regulated sectors such as Defence, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, or Aerospace
  • Strong understanding of welding codes, documentation, and quality requirements
  • Confident communicator and methodical in approach
