North Somerset Environment Company Ltd is looking to recruit a talented HGV / LGV C (Class 2) Driver to join our Collections teams. The contract is on a fixed-term basis for 12-months, or the return of the postholder (whichever is the sooner). We aim to retain the successful candidate on a permanent basis.

You will be expected to deliver a first-class service, collecting recycling and waste from the households of North Somerset’s residents, in this customer focussed role - making a real difference to the county and the environment.

All routes are pre-set and planned out for you with training, equipment, and technology available to assist you to complete your tasks. This is supported by our team of dedicated supervisors, who are available for guidance on a daily basis.

Requirements :

  • Must have a valid LGV Class C / HGV Class 2 Licence.
  • Clean driving licence preferred.
  • Ability to work in a full time physically demanding role.
  • Working bank holidays or Saturdays following bank holidays.
