Join Our Team at Gattaca : Now Hiring a Proposals Engineer

About the Role : Proposals Engineer

As a Proposals Engineer, You will be responsible for ensuring the creation of compelling and high-quality proposals and accurate cost plans that align with our clients' needs and objectives, with a focus on Engineering Services.

Operating within our group’s central Bids team and working closely with our Gattaca Projects sales and operational managers, you will be responsible for all Gattaca Projects’ bids& proposals across a range of industries.

  • Responsibilities;
  • You will own the proposal document and costing document, across the range of project sizes - £10k to £ms.
  • Plan and produce all proposals, bids and presentations (using MS Suite & online content creation technologies).
  • Author key elements of bid content.
  • Capture key solutions from the subject matter experts.
  • Build and maintaining central boiler plate library.
  • Report monthly on activity levels and success rate.
  • Coordinate timely internal sign off, quality assurance and escalation processes for final bid submission.
  • Managing the editorial process for all external literature and supporting content marketing, working with Gattaca Projects Brand Manager and operational teams.
  • Ensuring tenders are fully compliant with the client’s requirements and meet internal quality and compliance standards.
  • Supporting the sales effort by periodically accompanying sales teams to meet customers, and capture their voice / pain points and present potential solutions.
  • Tracking potential opportunities and bid processes with Gattaca Projects’ sales team and managing online portals to access tender documents.
  • Completion of supplier questionnaires and accreditations for the Gattaca Projects brand.
  • Project implementation and operations from a document control and authoring perspective.

You will have;

  • Worked as a Proposals Engineer, creating customer bids which require a technical understanding of their operations and products, or working within engineering businesses but in a technical authoring capacity and an interest in sales. (essential)
  • Publications (Desirable)
  • Engineering Degree qualified, or equivalent years in engineering related industry
  • Have the ability to question, comprehend and articulate compelling responses
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly competent using MS suite and / or other bid development systems.
  • Highly motivated individual who displays initiative and seek answers across the breadth of the Gattaca business
  • Conscientious in the delivery of assignments
  • Strong rapport and relationship building skills
  • Demonstrate ability to multitask, and be creative
  • Ability to work in a way to demonstrate Gattaca plc’s core values
  • Ability to work within a pressurised and deadline driven environment
