About the Role :
Based within Student and Library Services, you will play an important role supporting the work of the Diversity and Cultural Change (DCC) team, working closely with the Head of DCC. ARU are committed to delivering a range of challenging targets through our (APP) to reduce the outcome gaps experienced by specific student groups. This is important work that will contribute to levelling the playing field and delivering a fairer place to study for students from a variety of backgrounds.
The university is committed to undertaking a series of projects to advance race equality set out in our . The Diversity and Cultural Change Coordinator will play a key role in amplifying and supporting all institutional race equality work.
With a minimum of a degree and / or substantial relevant experience, you will have a good understanding of diversity and cultural change themes including key concepts such as privilege, bias, intersectionality, anti-racism and allyship, as well as how these concepts adapt and evolve according to the needs of different groups. You will be experienced at working independently and as part of a team to meet multiple deadlines and organise and prioritise workloads. You will be resilient and able to build good working relationships with colleagues and students to collaboratively achieve set goals, be aware of project management approaches, phases of the project lifecycle.
