Grade / Salary :              Grade 6 (£32, to £34,) pay award pending

Hours / Type :               37 hours per week, permanent

Location :                    Civic Building, Doncaster with the opportunity for the post holder to work flexibly across the workplace and home

We are recruiting to the post of Business Intelligence and Performance Analyst in the Performance Team within Finance from October .

About the role

This is a key role within the company at a critical time as we increase focus on service performance, meet the requirements of the Housing Regulator and implement and embed new, integrated housing management and reporting systems.

The Performance Team :

  • supports St Leger Homes’ (SLH) commitment to business excellence by working with services to improve, transform and innovate;
  • works with the Senior Management Team (SMT), Team Leaders and front line staff to embed business excellence, benchmarking and performance management;
  • leads on SLH’s Business Intelligence tools, including daily monitoring, development, system administration and implementation;
  • facilitates understanding of business performance by developing and maintaining the Performance Management Framework; and
  • assists the Executive Management Team (EMT) with the good governance of the framework.

St Leger Homes utilises OpenHousing (Capita) a fully integrated housing management system, and a number of other housing and employee related ICT sub-systems.

The Performance Team have and continue to develop a reporting framework utilising a business intelligence tool, currently Qlik and soon to include PowerBI, that delivers timely and accurate operational information from these systems to service providers.

In addition to this, other ad hoc and periodic work includes (among others) :

  • produce and communicate timely and accurate KPIs and operating performance company-wide;
  • undertake specific performance and trend analysis;
  • scenario modelling to identify the likely impact of recommendations;
  • timely and accurate submission of legislative, regulatory and other returns;
  • seek out opportunities for innovation and improvement based on analysing Performance information; and
  • be the central administrative function for all benchmarking activity.
  • About you

    We are looking for an organised, innovative individual with an attention to detail and good communication skills to work in a busy environment and has experience, ability and knowledge of :

  • developing reports and queries in a Business Intelligence platform using SQL or similar such as SSRS, Qlik and Microsoft BI;
  • working with various database systems and extracting data to produce operational and strategic performance information;
  • displaying complex information using system analytics for end users, including dashboards and visual graphics and tables;
  • researching and assimilating large volumes of data and intelligence and preparation and production of complex research based reports;
  • the use of industry standard software such as, Microsoft Office products at an advanced level;
  • of good practices for handling confidential data, in line with the Data Protection Act, GDPR, and other relevant legislation;
  • using performance measures to influence colleagues to use information to help drive forward service improvement and reporting on the impact;
  • developing and applying Business Intelligence tools in performance frameworks; and
  • services provided by ALMOs or other social housing providers.
