As AI / ML continues to evolve across the tech and data landscape, Hazelcast, is at the forefront of innovation in this space. We are looking for a Senior Manager of Product Management. This role will work cross-functionally across our global business to engage our business units including, Engineering, Sales, and Product Marketing to drive the continued development of our high-performance low-latency storage and stream processing engine.

WHAT WE NEED

As AI / ML continues to evolve across the tech and data landscape, Hazelcast, is at the forefront of innovation in this space. We are looking for a Senior Manager of Product Management. This role will work cross-functionally across our global business to engage our business units including, Engineering, Sales, and Product Marketing to drive the continued development of our high-performance low-latency storage and stream processing engine.

This role demands strong technical understanding, cross-functional leadership, and a proven track record in shaping developer-centric products.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the business model and P&L, feature development and prioritisation of the product roadmap, customer segmentation and pricing, and demand generation for all Hazelcast products.
  • Develop a strategic roadmap informed by market analysis / trends, competitive insights and customer feedback.
  • Responsible for working collaboratively with various teams across the global business, including Engineering, Sales, and Product Marketing. Taking ownership of driving accountability across the business for the on-going Product Development lifecycle as it applies to the overall GTM strategy for the business.
  • Working backwards from the Customer, ensure a Customer-centric approach when working with technical leaders. Ensure that the product roadmap delivers the experiences that will delight our customers in developer experience, programming models, scalability and reliability.
  • Incorporate emerging trends, including vector databases, the emergence of AI, and LLMs, into product offerings.
  • Partner with engineering teams to build and deliver on the Hazelcast Product roadmap to achieve the company's strategic objectives working closely with the core data platform engineering in building data store, in-memory and streaming platform capabilities.
  • Become a product expert in Hazelcast real-time data platform capabilities, and drive thought leadership and product knowledge across our internal teams, open source users and developer communities.

What You Have

  • At least 5 years of product management experience with complex enterprise software technologies and solutions.
  • Knowledge of our space, working on technologies in distributed caching, In-memory data grids, and / or stream processing.
  • Ideally familiarity with Cloud deployments, vector databases, and modern AI data workflows (RAG, semantic search, LLMs).
  • Strong understanding and preferably hands-on experience within the Java ecosystem, along with enterprise software development best practices.
  • Demonstrated mastery of the full product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
  • Prior experience with distributed caching solutions and familiarity with competitors such as Oracle Coherence, Redis, Elasticache, and Apache Flink.
  • Experience of working with technologies that are developer-led open-source platforms and applications.
  • Possess a strategic understanding of business objectives and have the creative mindset required to help define the direction of the product roadmap, strategy and GTM enablement.
  • Ability to build strong trust with teams and effectively drive prioritisation across stakeholders and relevant business units.
  • Experience applying strategic frameworks like Wardley Mapping.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
  • Data-driven and analytical thinker.
  • A Computer Science or related technical degree is desired, an advanced technical degree is a plus.
