A SENCO is needed in an All-Girls Independent Secondary School & Sixth Form in South West London.

This SENCO role will be full time and permanent.

If appointed as a SENCO, your duties will include but not be limited to :

  • Working with staff, parents and the local authority to enhance provisions for the SEN department
  • Developing and overseeing the implementation of the school's SEN policies
  • Monitor and observe progress of every SEN pupil in school
  • Design and amend EHCPs for each SEN pupil
  • Delegate and organise responsibilities for Support Staff across the school
  • Effectively manage the school's budget for essential elements of SEN
  • Attend regular team meetings
  • Efficiently log, manage and report data on SEN pupils via the school's systems
  • Having the NPQ SENCO / NASENCO qualification would be preferred but is not essential in order to be considered as a SENCO at the school.

    Requirements

    You are encouraged to apply if you're a qualified Teacher or experienced SENCO.

    Applications are also welcome if you're a British trained SENCO or overseas trained SENCO.

    All applicants must have the following in order to be shortlisted for this SENCO role :

  • Right to work in the UK
  • UK QTS or an overseas equivalent
  • Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
  • Experience as a Teacher or SENCO in UK Secondary schools
