Mobile Commercial Heating Engineer (Salary £45,000-£52,000)

Big opportunity to work for a top engineering company in the city of London. The hiring company is currently looking for a talented gas engineer for a mobile role covering the London area.

The Commercial Heating Engineer will be responsible for and expected to carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance within a number of commercial plant rooms associated with the delivery of district heating to multi-residential apartments and retail units

The role will have specific responsibility to look after and maintain the assets associated with the distribution and delivery of district heating throughout the connected buildings and work as part of a wider team to ensure its effective operation. In addition to preventative maintenance, the role will encompass all investigations and repairs to ensure high levels of service delivery. The Commercial Heating Engineer will work closely with other members of the operational team associated with the various developments.

Ideal candidates should have :

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Commercial Gas Service Engineer

Experience and familiarisation with commercial heating systems ideally associated with communal / district heating networks

Be technically aware and numerate to interrogate meters and report thereon

Competent to undertake pipework, plumbing and basic electrical works Fault finding and practical skills

PC skills

A demonstrated ability to organize and prioritise

Flexibility to work on other tasks within skill set

Basic electrical knowledge (ideally an electrical qualification at least equivalent to Bpec Part P Level B)

Ability to work unsupervised

Knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems

Full driving licence required

Minimum of 1 year validity on all Gas certification / qualifications

Ability to work on your own initiative and to agreed timescales.
