    Salary : Scale 5C £31,524 - £33,417 (pro rata for part-time)

    Contract Type : Part time - Permanent

    Working hours : 32.5 hrs Core Hours 7.30am - 2.30 pm including an unpaid lunch break

    Weeks per year : 39

    About the role :

    Experienced school cook / chef required to prepare, cook and serve nutritious, healthy lunches to school-aged children. The right candidate must have excellent communication skills, a passion for fresh cooked food, and experience of leading a team of catering assistants. A good understanding of Food Safety, Health & Safety and Allergen Awareness is required. A desire to encourage pupils to eat well at school is essential.

    • Ordering, Preparing & Cooking School Lunch
    • Supervision of Catering Assistants
    • Responsible for Food Safety & Health & Safety
    • Management of allergens
    • Weekly financial reporting
    • Weekly stock takes

    • Qualifications and Requirements :

      NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 706 or relevant practical experience.
