About Our Client

Seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join a fantastic company based in Redhill

Job Description

• Daily remittance processing (encoding)
• Daily banking - preparing and recording of cash, cheques and electronic bank files
• Preparation of daily banking sheets (Excel spreadsheets)
• Collating cheques and forms to Customer Services for further investigation
• Collating information and processing entries arising from daily bank statements
• Posting of daily refund transactions
• Reconciliation of various bank accounts to the general ledger on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Assisting Retail Services with the resolution of queries
• Resolution of banking queries
• Processing and posting of daily manual cheques
• Processing and posting of daily Electronic Bank Payments
• Reconciliation of bank voids (bounced cheques and DD's)
• Control of petty cash
• Undertake such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require

The Successful Applicant

• Good knowledge of computer based financial systems
• Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experience of working with daily (electronic) banking files
• Experience of working with daily (electronic) banking files
• Commercial Banking Online
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to input data into the accounting system quickly and accurately
• Ability to work to tight monthly and year-end deadlines
• Calm demeanour
• Attention to detail
• Team player
• Experience with Vlookup and PivotTables within Excel - essential
• May be working towards an accountancy degree
