As we enter a period of significant organisational change, we have an opportunity for an experienced employee relations (ER) specialist to join our team where you'll be required to manage a busy and varied ER caseload. Working closely with ER team colleagues, HRBPs and our central People Hub, you'll provide expert employee relations advice to senior managers and leadership teams, collaborating with different stakeholders within a corporate environment.
You'll display excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and apply emotional intelligence and diplomacy to a diverse range of people and situations.
What you'll be doing :
- Advise and lead on multiple complex casework, such as; investigations, performance matters, grievances, conduct issues and appeals.
- Maintain an accurate record of cases, ensuring effective reporting can take place and SLAs are met.
- Support and provide advice to HR Advisors as and when required.
- Work closely with the Head of ER and Head of People Hub to improve the service and ensure consistency across all cases.
- Interpret employment law, ensuring changes are communicated, understood by all stakeholders and new policies drafted / existing policies amended.
- Adopt a commercial approach when providing advice, in line with Legislation, policy and best practice.
- Support the training and development of the wider People Hub teams to broaden skills Into the ER space and ensure strong capacity and succession planning.
- Manage ER risks in line with both organisational and People risk framework and through the lifecycle of any business projects.
- Carrying out exit interviews, when requested.
- Support and inform wellbeing activity as required.
