A vital service to support service users who find accessing transport inaccessible or unavailable due to the challenges of living with sight loss.
Detailed description
About the role
Volunteer Drivers collect service users from their homes and transport them to local community venues for support groups and activity sessions. Drivers use their own vehicles or a CamSight electrical vehicle to pick up to three service users at a time. They are reimbursed for mileage and submit monthly claims via the Group Coordinators, paid through BACS.
