We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Operations Manager.
A quick look at the role.
Hours - Monday to Friday, 8 : 30-5 : 00. 1 day in a local office and the rest remote, however this can change on occasion.
This role within the Biffpack department to manage a team of co-ordinators who provide the front line support to customers and also support the General manager and senior manager peers to ensure all deadlines and objectives are met. The role will be focused on building on the foundations of the scheme and developing the systems and best practices within the packaging function. Also the role will provide support in liaising with the relevant Environment Agencies and working with the Regulation and Policy lead to ensure submissions are made and training, internal and external communications are planned.
The Compliance Operations manager will be responsible for ensuring all deadlines are planned and known, such as all reporting periods for WEEE & EPR are communicated internally and externally as well as the roles and responsibilities in the team and management of the submission from start to finish and regular updates to the team and General Manager. Furthermore the compliance operations manager will take a proactive approach to ensure all areas of compliance and operations are achieved such as invoicing, debt management, ISO processes, IT / systems, liaising with the EA and drafting and implementing the operational plan.

- Subject matter expert for Packaging, WEEE & Battery Producer Responsibility
- Manage the team of Compliance co-ordinators (potential for this to change)
- Work to support Scheme approval; involved in drafting and implementing operational plan audit targets met, team are trained, member webinar planned
- Ensure processes are followed and meet the requirements under the regulations and look to change, improve and introduce new processes where not working
- Responsibility for ensuring all scheme deadlines planned, invoices raised, debt management and any other team communications.
- Ensure department staff follow the key deadlines, agency guidance and best practice.
- Support the annual registrations, quarterly returns and resubmissions process.
- Maintain relationships with Key Clients & retention of existing customer portfolio.
- Fully support team during submission periods
- Recruitment of new Members.
- Liaise with the Environment Agency
