An independent Structural Engineering consultancy on the Wirral is looking for a Senior or Principal Structural Engineer to join their team of around 10 in a permanent staff capacity.
The company was relatively recently established and moved into their new office in Birkenhead earlier in 2024, providing a strong base to service their clients and projects.
The current team consists of around 10 staff, split between Structural and Civil Engineers. The Structural team is slightly larger than the Civil team, and the company primarily works on Residential (both housing developments and multi-storey projects) and Commercial projects.
They operate a hybrid and flexible-working policy that is typically a 50 / 50 split between home and the office.
The right Senior or Principal Structural Engineer will have :
- Experience of designing using the main structural materials
- A track record of having worked on a variety of building structures projects
- A highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills
- A strong background in software analysis and a high level of technical skills; knowledge of Tekla Structural Designer would be beneficial
- A current driving license and willingness to travel to visit sites
- Good knowledge of the Eurocode Standards
