Assistant Estimator – Main Contractor (Refurbishment & Fit-Out Sector)Location : EssexSalary : £28,000 - £25,000 We are currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Assistant Estimator to join our growing team at a leading Main Contractor specializing in Refurbishment and Fit-Out projects. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with some experience in the construction industry looking to take the next step in their career.Key Responsibilities : Assist with the preparation of cost estimates for refurbishment and fit-out projects.Work alongside the Senior Estimator to assess tender documents and specifications.Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for quotations and material pricing.Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely bids.Ensure compliance with project budgets, timelines, and quality standards.Maintain a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of estimating.Gain exposure to all aspects of project costing, from initial inquiry to project completion.Key Requirements : Some prior experience in the construction industry (refurbishment or fit-out experience preferred).Strong organizational and communication skills.A keen interest in learning about the estimating process and developing technical knowledge.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).Ability to work effectively within a team and meet deadlines.Benefits : Competitive salary between £28,000 - £25,000 (dependent on experience).Opportunity to develop your career within a growing company.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Training and development opportunities.This is an ideal role for someone looking to build a long-term career with a well-established contractor in the refurbishment and fit-out sector
