Milk Education are working with a vibrant and charming Primary School in North Shields to hire a SEN Support Buddy, the school in questions boasts state of the art resources and a supportive SLT.The school is well-liked by teachers and students alike and many describe working at the school as fun and stimulating, where you really feel valued.Qualifications in working with SEND are not essential. However, if you have experience with ADHD, ASC and PMLD students or have training / knowledge of PEC's, Team Teach, Makaton, ABA, Hoist, Manuel handling, Personal Care, this will aid you in your placement at the school.If you are looking to make the transition into a SEND environment, the school also offer great training and support if you have the drive and passion that is essential in working with their children.The successful SEN Support Buddy will be required to work 8 : 30 – 15 : 30 Monday to Friday starting in January 2025. Requirements of the SEN Support Buddy :
- Helping pupils access the curriculum through dedicated support in 1 : 1 or in small groups
- Join a hardworking and dedicated team of practitioners
- Making and creating resources
- Supporting the needs of students with special educational needs
- To work alongside and learn from a talented and supportive team of teachers
- To develop communication skills
- Adapt techniques to suit learners
- To monitor and track pupil progress
