Surrey PoliceForcewideVacancy Information
Western (Guildford) and Northern (Staines) Investigations (Domestic Abuse Team, Reactive CID and Child Abuse Team) provide daily coverage 07 : 00 - 22 : 00 using an early turn and a late turn. The standard Rota means working one weekend in every three. There are no single RD's within the shift pattern. There are three rotas each with two Detectives sergeants. The role is open to substantive Detective Constables and those due to complete their Learner program within the next three months. If you are outside this and interested, please make contact for further discussion. Western and Northern Investigations do not routinely offer agile working, but may do so work-permitting. We offer a supportive team environment, visible and engaged line managers and an innovative approach to supporting our staff to create a healthy working environment. We are seeking to recruit DC's or LDC's to join our fantastic teams. Please make contact and we will arrange for you to spend some time with the teams, so you can learn about us. There will be a broad range of interesting and complex investigations available to develop your skills and experience.

Diversity Statement
We are only as good as our people. It's important that our officers and staff can be themselves in the workplace and we know that as an organisation we'll grow from the variety of thinking, approach, and the skills that diversity brings; all of which help us to deliver a better policing service. We strive to ensure how we deliver our services, provide information and how we recruit is open and accessible to all.
We have multiple staff support groups who help to improve our understanding of minority issues and ensure they are reflected in our work. We are proud members of the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index and Disability Confident, a signatory of the Race at Work Charter and aligned with the Armed Forces Covenant and the HeForShe movement.
We are committed to being an anti-racist police service. We promise to challenge injustice, ensure fairness and to uphold anti-racist principles in both our organisation and our communities.
We value the differences that people bring from all backgrounds and communities. Regardless of age, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, disability, social status, or religious belief, we would love to hear from you.
