Develop and execute a structured knowledge transfer plan, ensuring continuity of legal, compliance, and governance operations
Document critical processes, key contacts, ongoing legal and compliance matters
Review proposed long term staffing structure with team and provide report documenting suggestions that support cooperation, efficiency and potential programmatic growth of departments under review

Review policies and procedures
Legal Advice and Guidance
Provide legal counsel on a variety of matters, including limited litigation support, contract review and negotiation, and regulatory compliance issues
Monitor ongoing litigation or disputes, supporting CEO in instruction of external counsel as necessary, and advising internal stakeholders on potential risks and strategies
Act as a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive, Board, and senior management, ensuring that legal and compliance considerations are communicated
External Communications & Training
Advise on the development and delivery of training materials, ensuring alignment with best practices and emerging market developments
Incident Oversight
Serve as the primary point of contact
Coordinate with internal stakeholders
Oversee external law firm engagements, managing budgets, deliverables, and quality of advice
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualified lawyer with a current practising certificate and with regulatory and corporate governance experience
Proven track record in legal drafting and negotiating complex contracts, rulebooks, and policy documents
Experience navigating UK and international regulatory frameworks, including competition law, sanctions, and other compliance regimes
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex legal concepts to diverse audiences
Knowledge of financial services industry desirable
