Job description
Marine EngineerOur client, a Marine Operational Support Provider, are currently seeking a Fast Rescue Craft / Marine Engineer to join their team, based in Lowestoft.This is a full time, permanent opportunity.Working hours : Monday to Friday : 07 : 30 - 16 : 30, with a one-hour lunch break.Paid for a 40 hour week.Overtime potentially available at enhanced rates.Job role : As the Fast Rescue Craft / Marine Engineer, you will be required to carry out repairs to the fast rescue and Daughter craft onboard the fleet of Emergency Response and Rescue vessels and / or in house repair workshops.Candidate Requirements / Qualifications :
- Marine or General Engineering background / qualification.
- Good understanding of petrol 2 / 4 stroke engines or diesel engines.
- Knowledge / experience of 12-volt electrics and / or the marine industry.
- Computer literate.
- Full driving licence.Duties include (but aren’t limited to) :
- Ensuring all shipboard repairs are carried out in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
- Keeping company approved Planned Maintenance records up to date.
- Providing out-of-hours support, as and when required.
- Actively promoting and progressing the company QHSE Policies.Benefits :
