Five Education Recruitment LimitedKeynsham, Bristol, England- Full-time
- Part-time
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to work with children at a lovely mainstream primary school near Keynsham. This role will involve working closely with students who have additional needs, such as ASC, ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, or SEMH challenges.
You may sometimes be providing one-to-one support for a specific child and at other times be working more generally across the classroom to help all students access the curriculum. Patience, flexibility and strong communication skills are key, as is a genuine desire to make a positive impact on children's learning and well-being.
While experience is helpful, it's not essential. We're primarily looking for people with a positive, nurturing disposition. This opportunity is also ideal for graduates in Psychology, Education or Health and Social Care, or anyone with a background in support work or care.
Main Responsibilities :
- Support students 1 : 1 or in small groups, adapting tasks to meet their individual needs
- Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to provide consistent support
- Help students develop confidence, communication skills and independence
- Ensure students are safe and supported during play and lunchtime
Essential Criteria :
