Job description

Today, Lonza is a global leader in life sciences operating across three continents. While we work in science, there’s no magic formula to how we do it. Our greatest scientific solution is talented people working together, devising ideas that help businesses to help people. In exchange, we let our people own their careers. Their ideas, big and small, genuinely improve the world. And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.

Role Purpose :

The Program Lead is responsible for leading the certification process for achieving and maintaining Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP II) or equivalent standards within the organisation.

This should ensure that the manufacturing sites can be certified to ensure that the end-to-end supply chain processes are under control and support the organisation’s aim to reduce cost and increase service levels.

The person is responsible for leading the cross divisional collaboration and that the certification tools and processes are integrated with other systems.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Lead and champion the efforts to achieve and maintain MRP II class A or equivalent
  • Develop and implement certification roadmaps, timelines, and key achievements to guide the organization towards certification readiness.
  • Develop training materials, workshops, and documentation to support ongoing education efforts related to MRP II practices and certification criteria
  • Ensure that key personnel are well-versed in the roles and responsibilities required to sustain MRP II Class A certification
  • Prepare the organisation for internal audits required for MRP II Class A certification or recertification
  • Review metrics to track progress towards MRP II Class A certification or equivalent
  • Analyse data and metrics to ensure the organisation consistently meets or exceeds benchmarks.
  • Regularly communicate progress, challenges, and successes related to the certification process with senior management and collaborators.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to the certification process, including process inefficiencies, non-compliance issues, and resource constraints.

Key requirements :

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Life science with a strong supply chain background experience in a site environment
  • At least 10+ additional years of work experience in multiple Supply Chain site functions with a strong focus on MRP II class A certification experience or equivalent
  • SME in SAP and Supply Chain Processes
  • Masters APICS CPIM professional standards. Subject matter expert for planning and execution
  • Ability to establish and supervise project delivery. Proven experience with handling multiple global and complex projects simultaneously
  • Ability to identify and resolve conflicts
  • Good communication and presentation skills, ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Proven ability to lead up and influencing and coaching people on all hierarchy levels
  • Ideally a manufacturing or technical experience demonstrating a self-starting and hands-on quality
  • Excellent communication skills to lead and support empowered employees and leaders in a multi-cultural team environment
  • Every day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people. For us, this is not only a great privilege, but also a great responsibility. How we achieve our business results is just as important as the achievements themselves. At Lonza, we respect and protect our people and our environment. Any success we achieve is no success at all if not achieved ethically.

People come to Lonza for the challenge and creativity of solving complex problems and developing new ideas in life sciences. In return, we offer the satisfaction that comes with improving lives all around the world. The satisfaction that comes with making a meaningful difference.
