Prototype Wirer

Job Title : Prototype Wirer

Job Type : Contract, 6 months

Location : Witney

Rate : £15.00-£18.00 per hour PAYE

Hours : Monday-Friday, 08 : 00-16 : 30

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Prototype Wirer to join our dynamic engineering team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a strong background in wiring and assembly, particularly in prototype or low-volume production environments. You will work on cutting-edge projects, building and wiring bespoke electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Build and wire prototype electrical assemblies according to engineering drawings, wiring schedules, and schematics.
  • Solder, crimp, and assemble cable looms and harnesses.
  • Fault-find and resolve wiring issues during builds.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to support development work.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Skills & Requirements :

  • Proven experience as a prototype wirer, electrical assembler, or similar role.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent soldering, crimping, and hand tool skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
  • Background in Automotive (preferred).
