Job description
We are looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join a Child Protection team as the Principal Court Work Social Worker.

About the team
You will be joining a team that work from a strength-based approach, to ensure they're meeting the needs of young people and their families. This role requires holding up to 10 / 11 cases, with a focus on court work. You will work with children and their families to assist in decision making for Children to remain at home or return home to their parents. Assessments will need to consider the current risks and protective factors whilst also identifying the likelihood of change within the child's timescales.
About the role
You will need a Social Work degree and a minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience within Family Safeguarding, Child Protection or Children in Need. Previous experience in Front-Line Social Work is essential, and it is mandatory you are confident with court proceedings and have previously undertaken assessment using the DOH Framework of Assessment.
