We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join an aspiring and professional company based in Leeds. This is an ideal role for a Transport Planner who is highly organised and conscientious.
The role of the Transport Planner involves :
Answering and directing all calls into the business or message taking
Dealing with customer’s enquiries
Dealing with quotes
Data Entry
Confirm task and liaise with drivers to ensure a successful completion of task
Dealing with Sales function to fulfil customer requirements
Liaise with vehicle providers to deal with maintenance and availability requirements
Issue weekly / daily workloads and instructions to the driving team
Dealing with drivers on their future task and daily workloads
Dealing with delays or any problems with deliveries
Dealing with all administration duties.
The Transport Planner position will suit a person with Skills :
Professional and organized with excellent communication skills
Experienced in customer service and troubleshooting
Excellent telephone manner
Excellent IT skills and FLT skills
Able to work on own initiative
Hold a driving licence (minimum Cat B)
Hold a FLT licence is desirable (minimum Counter-Balance)
Hours of work are 7.45am-6pm Monday to Friday (You may be required to work the occasional weekends)
Salary is between £19- £23 dependent on experience
