Job description

Service Engineer / Service Technician required to join an automated machinery manufacturer.

The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician will need to live in or around Sheffield, be willing to cover UK wide, and must have electro-mechanical service & maintenance experience.

The successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician will carry out service, installation, and breakdown visits on a wide range of automated machinery similar to packaging equipment.

Role

Carry out pre-planned Service, Installation, and Breakdown visits on a wide range of electro-mechanical automated machinery.

Liaise with various engineering departments.

Perform preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and optimise machine performance.

Provide on-site training and service support to customers.

Diagnose and repair technical issues on electromechanical machinery.

Remotely based in or around Sheffield, covering UK wide.

Full product training provided.

Requirements

Experience as a Service Engineer, Service Technician, Systems Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or similar maintenance role.

Service / maintenance background with electro-mechanical experience.

Prior knowledge of automated machinery, packaging machinery, or similar electro-mechanical equipment is beneficial.

Electrical or mechanical engineering qualification - Apprentice trained, NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, HND, or equivalent is advantageous.

Full UK driving license.

Flexible for overtime and part of the on-call rota.
